Although soft light is usually the norm for portraits. Hard undefused light can be just as effective. This shot was taken with one raw light.

This shot and the one below are of cast members who are currently in a production presented by the Firehall Theatre. Very simple set up, One light, Reflective Umbrella and a White Reflector.

When you're on location try to keep your equipment down. Saves time with set up and tear down. When ever possible try to get a look at the location before the shoot to determine what you'll need.
